The Carlson-Hayes match concluded Thursday, March 22 with both players agreeing to limit the match to eight games instead of ten. Hayes won the
last game with the white pieces, thus winning the match 5-3. A rating report will be available on the USCF and Arcadia Chess Club websites in
the near future.
