Bio

Hi. I don't play at Arcadia too often, but it's always been fun. My peak USCF rating is 1827. My best tournament performance was 2248, winning clear 1st in the 2011 Lina Grumette Memorial Day Action Swiss (4.0/5). My best win was against Pablo Pena (7/22/11), who was 2156 at the time and made NM the following year.

My favorite game is Byrne-Fischer ("Game of the Century"), 1956.
47 ... Bh3!! from Topalov-Shirov, 1998 is the most impressive move I've ever seen.

I am also a USCF Local TD for the Whittier Chess Club (USCF Affiliate A6037330) and occasionally run small, free, USCF-rated tournaments in Whittier and West Covina.
